Castle Royal Hotel: "Mombasa's Castle" Kenya Hotel Tip by Acirfa

Kenya Hotels: 209 reviews and 285 photos

Built in 1909 and once known as the Palace Hotel, The Castle Royal was taken over by the Sentrim Group of hotels in 2004, a year of refurbishments took place and after being closed for 10 years it reopened it's door again on the 1st March 2005.

Modern rooms, dining hall and coffee bar make this an ideal City Centre spot to stay.

Unique Qualities: The coffee bar sitting street side is a wonderful way to pass an hour or so watching Mombasa's life in full swing.

International food is served, staff are friendly and it's an ideal pitstop after a stroll about the town. It's within a short walking distance to Fort Jesus and the beach is nearby too.
