The Great Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza
Considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the world, the Great Pyramids of Giza are today more than 4000 years old. They have been built during the height of the Old Kingdom. Many people think the Great Pyramids are somewhere in the middle of the desert. This is not the case, however, because the outskirts of Cairo have nowadays spread right to the entrance to Giza plateau. Taxi from center (Tahrir) to the Pyramids should cost somewhere around L.E. 10-15.
