Robin Hoods bay is again another little fishing bay just off the north east coast. The name sadly has no reference to robin hood of sherwood forest and is a bit of a mystery. It was however profound as a smugglers bay in the 18th century. It is one of the larger bays in the area.

It again is another great place for fossling , being part of the dinosaur coast. But if your not satisfied with the rock pools, and views there is also the old coastguard station to visit. This is owned by the national trust and is a known visitors centre. The place has several educational exhibits including showing you how the coast was formed.
