"Celine Dion - A New Day" Caesar's Palace Hotel & Casino Tip by ahimsadesi

Caesar's Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas: 98 reviews and 208 photos

What can I say? Vocals don't get much better than Celine Dion--especially in a full Las Vegas show produced by none other than Franco Dragone, the creative tour de force who took Cirque Du Soleil to new heights with Mystere at Treasure Island.

Dragone delivered again with this one. Combining Celine's powerful music with with stunning visuals--from the huge LCD screen backdrop lapping with fluid imagery to the costume and props--it inspired awe at the attention to detail and artistry that went into every second of these 2 hours. I read that each of her backup crew of 58 was cherry-picked from the world's top stages. I don't doubt it.

Seating 4,000 at full capacity, the colossal colosseum also seemed to fade away into a cozy backdrop during the show. It's hard to imagine how a place so big can feel so intimate. It even features an up-sloping stage that looks a bit steep for anyone to walk on it, let alone for dozens of people to perform complex dance numbers. Cameras are not allowed inside to capture the magic unfortunately, so be sure to snap a photo or two of the outside before walking in. I regret not doing that myself.

And one final thing: Buy a seat as close to the stage as possible. It's very pricey but worth every penny for the memories.
