Actually Shaft is a nightclub in Kadikoy. They especially play rock and blues. There are some regular groups taking the stage on certain nights. Also they give opportunities to new bands and young musicians.
In July 2006, I think, Shaft opened a new club in Ayvalik. People from Istanbul, especially Kadikoy, stay in Ayvalik during their summer vacation. So, Shaft Olivia is a summertime club. It is in an old building just across the fish market. Unfortunately it is too small. They only have 6-8 tables on suspended floor.
We participated to the performance of Acil Servis at 19th of August. These pictures are from that night.
After their first year, they decided not to have live music in Shaft Olivia. I hope they change their mind for 2008.
