"Baroque Residence of Prince Eugene" Belvedere Palace & Gardens Tip by MichaelFalk1969

Belvedere Palace & Gardens, Vienna: 182 reviews and 355 photos

Prince Eugene, the best military leader the Habsburg Empire had in the 18th century, built this special baroque palace - actually two palaces, the Upper and Lower Belvedere, seperated by the gardens and a beautiful fountain. The palaces contain collections on Austrian art that are extremely worthwhile, especially the Austrian Gallery of 19th/20th century art with works from Schiele, Klimt etc.
