Phnom Bakheng
Dated towards 900
King Yasovarman I
Cult (posthumous name: Paramashivaloka)
Brahmanic (Shiva´te)

This is Phnom Bakheng, the centre of the first kingdom of Angkor, or Yasodharapura.

There are two routes to the top of this hill. You can take the sceanic but winding route or you can take the elephant route which is shorter. Alternatively you can pay USD 15 for an elephant ride up to the hill and another USD 10 for a down trip...

This is a very very very popular place for Sunset viewing
