"Driving Tour" Manzanar Things to Do Tip by Hopkid

Manzanar Things to Do: 19 reviews and 49 photos

There is a self-guided driving tour that takes you around the perimeter of the camp. Former building sites are identified by strategically-placed signs. On the west side of the camp you can visit the cemetary and the stone monument which has stood there for over 60 years. Visitors today still come and leave tribute items on and around the base. It is common to see a string of origami cranes as well. The driving tour is definitely worth doing after checking out the exhibits in the visitor's center.
