a view from atop - beautiful!

Me at Borobudur again. After reading lots of info about this temple, i became more appreciate toward this monument and its existance. It is very fascinating for such a beautifully crafted temple being built with limited technology at that time. We also have to thank Mr. Stamford Raffles (a British resident once upon a time at Java) for ordering a clearance of the secondary jungle that has shrounded this temple before and revealed the original temple to the modern world. Without his noble effort, i don't think we are be able to see this temple again and quietly buried under the thick jungle.

Now, the temple has been restored and now stand proud and become a spin-off income to thousand of locals selling wares, souvenier and drinks (these local seller are very persistent to sell their wares and up to one point become such annoying thing here). There are other 2 no-less important related to this one that are Candi Mendut & Candi Pawon.
