This small film history museum is one of my favourite ones - it has some of the most stunning showrooms I ever saw in a museum. When you enter, there is a mirror room with several big screen monitors showing scenes from classic german movies. Another fantastic room is where the film architecture of "Metropolis" is displayed in a skyscraper panorama, or a showroom with costumes and portraits of Marlene Dietrich. The Filmmuseum is mainly about the history of german film-making from the 1920`s till today, but fascinating. If you are interested in movie history this museum should surely be in your itinerary. It is located in the Potsdamer Platz - area, near the Sony Center.
