Day Trip - Kanchanaburi, Thaiand, Bangkok: 25 reviews and 77 photos
The JEATH War Museum was established by Chief Abbot the Venerable Phra Thamkhunaporn of Wat Chai Chumpol in 1977 on the banks of the Mae Klong River. It was dedicated to the victims of the construction of the River Kwai Bridge and the Death Railway from Thailand to Burma during World War 11.
The huts are replicas of the type prisoners had to live in and they are filled with pictures, sketches and tools etc which depict various aspects of a prisoner?s life. This gives you an insight into the horrific conditions and suffering that the prisoners went through.
Many items in the Museum have been donated by prisoners who survived the camp.
Photos are not allowed to be taken in Section One.
