LILAS: "Famous for it's Steak and Fries" Top 5 Page for this destination CLOSED Lilas Tip by Homanded

CLOSED Lilas, Miami: 1 reviews and 0 photos

A long standing tradition and part of Miami. Lila's is known for it's fries. If you were to ask any Cuban who has the best Steak and fries they'll tell you: LILAS.
The same goes with their FLAN (egg custard similar to creme broulee).
Very casual atmosphere serving true authentic Cuban cuisine.
This is an example that you don't have to pay $30.00 (quite frankly I think to do so is a crime) for true, authentic Cuban food.

Cuban cuisine consists of simple, innexpensive ingredients blended together to enhance rather than hide the food.
One of the things that makes Cuban food authentic is the rich and pure ambiance. When you start adding the "Noveau" touch to Cuban food it loses it's appeal - to me.
With simplicity comes value - Cuban food shouldn't be expensive!!! About 7 - 9 dollars for a palomilla steak dinner is average and this should include Rice/beans and a side starch.
Lila's remains true to tradition with their motto: "If it aint broke, don't fix it!"

Favorite Dish: Lilas steak and fries.
Tamal en Cazuela (when available) Corn soup
Flans (*egg custard in caramel - similar to creme broulee)
