Al Fassia: "Lovely food chic air conditioned surroundings" Al Fassia Guéliz Tip by 43beckos

Al Fassia Guéliz, Marrakesh: 3 reviews and 3 photos

This restaurant is run entirley by women, with the only exception to this being the doorman. The decor is a sort of modernised Arabic theme, and is air conditioned, which can be a welcome relief.

For local style cusine, this place is excellent, with several different types of Tagine and cous cous on the menu, as well as mixed kebabs and other Moroccan specialities.

The restaurant also now has a licence for alcohol, despite what the guides say, and the wines are reasonably priced. If you like tangy whites try the local white called Medallion which costs 220 DHS, about £14.50

The restaurant also takes major credit cards

Favorite Dish: There are two dishes i can personally recommend at this restaurant, the local soup ( starter )
which resembles a French peasent soup, but is served with a side order of Lime wedges and dates, strange combination but really works, and for main course ( which is huge so go easy on the starters ) try the chicken, chick pea and caramalised onion tagine, which comes with a side dish of cous cous.

This tagine is a delicious stew given added bite by the inclusion of the chick peas.

Had the orange salad for dessert, but this was nothing special.
