Hode's Place is a huge covered outdoor restaurant just outside downtown San Ignacio. Especially good for larger groups - you are seated immediately. It features a relaxed atmosphere, but fairly prompt service. They also have a jukebox, video arcade and ice cream for after dinner. The varied menu features local favorites and familiar items for the less adventurous. Skip the nachos - they are not what you expect (cheese is served cold).

Favorite Dish: Skip the soda and order a fruit juice. Pineapple and watermelon juices are good when available, but the best is their lime juice (limeade). Meal favorites include the chicken fajitas ($6.50 USD) and burritos ($2.50 USD).

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: From downtown, walk out past the soccer field. At the end of the soccer field, you will see the city park. Walk up the right hand side of the park 200 yards. Hodie's is on your right.
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 5
