"Central Park" Central Park Tip by Fewf
Central Park, New York City: 406 reviews and 745 photos
Don't think you'll escape the crowds here--that's a hopeless cause anywhere in New York. But even New Yorkers occasionally need to have nature around them, and they don't mind--most of them probably even like--the fact that all around this nature you can still see tall buildings. Central Park is a great place to walk your dog, or row a boat for a while (albeit in a tiny pond with a crowd of other boats). You can walk around looking at the bridges (each one was designed separately and hence is completely unique), or just sit down on the grass and relax. If you close your eyes, perhaps you could even shut out the screams of the kids. New Yorkers use ipods for artificial assistance with that task.
