"Visit the museum" Checkpoint Charlie Tip by mccrorj

Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin: 171 reviews and 291 photos

Checkpoint charlie museum is a must see experience. It gives you an understanding of how the wall came about, flash points and stories of those who tried to escape. The ingenuity of the escapees is truly insperational and some of the unsuccesfull escape stories are touching. Try to get there early as the crowds on a hot day can make the experience a little uncomfortable, to say the least. I would say an hour to an hour and a half is sufficient for the trip and also give you time to take your photos at checkpoint charlie itself.
