I only found 2 of the major objects inside the Dom. The altarpiece of Stefan Lochner (ca1440) is in a chapel at the beginning of the S. ambulatory showing the Adoration of the Magi. Almost nothing is known about Lochner, but his style shows grace and some early mastery of perspective at that period( more paintings by him are in the nearby Wallraf-Richartz Art museum).Do not miss it! Behind the altar stands the reliquary, the Dreikonigenschrein, a gold basilica shaped chest (12-13C). Finally there is the Cross of Gero at the axial chapel, but we did not find it, only another one. Along the pillars are fine statuary but it was too dark to see the restored medieval colors. The day was dark and I was unable to record the choir stalls or other things.
