"The City Wall..." City of London - The Square Mile Tip by BluBluBlu

City of London - The Square Mile, London: 106 reviews and 220 photos

The original wall around London was built by the Romans, and was added to over the centuries. It had seven gates, including Ludgate, Aldgate etc, and stretched from the Tower of London to Blackfriars. Very little remains today, but parts can be seen near the Tower, the Barbican, and near the Museum of London.
