Red Fort, Delhi: 121 reviews and 295 photos

Chhoti Baithak or Mumtaz Mahal was one of the original six main palaces along the riverfront. Through these palaces flowed a lovely water channel which was known as the ‘Stream of Paradise’ and called ‘Nahr-i-Bihisht’. Unfortunately after ending up in ruins, the palace is no longer standing. The panels which were inlaid with semi-precious and multicoloured stones on the walls were moved by the British to the Victoria and Allbert Museum in London but later brought back in 1903.
