The Khas Mahal belonged to the Emperor and had three rooms. One of the rooms was the southern chamber known as the Tosh Khana (or robe room). On the north wall of this chamber is a beautiful marble filigree screen which has the scales of justice carved on it. The Khwabgah (or Palace of Dreams) is in the centre and has an octagonal tower where the emperor would appear before the masses who gathered on the riverbanks below the palace. The Tasbih Khana is the north chamber and this is where the Emperor used to worship on his own.
