Dionysis: "Very large garden and good food" Santorini Island Restaurant Tip by carolondon

We decided to stop at Dionysis restaurant because it had a lovely big garden area to eat in, not because of any recommendation, but it was a good choice. The restaurant is split into 2 areas, outside and inside. The inside is invariably empty, as people choose to sit out in the sun and breeze to eat. Service was fast and friendly, and we even saw a wedding recption there, so they cater for large groups if need be.
Favorite Dish: All tables are offered bread and olive dip to munch as soon as they sit down, which is good, and both the starters and mains were enjoyable. I can recommend the cheese saganaki and the giant beans. Both had lots of flavour. For mains, the seafood risotto is a huge portion and a struggle to finish if you have eaten too much bread and dip! Grandma's meatballs were ok, but other things on the menu were better. The Greek staple, Mousakka, was of a good standard, and the house wine was cheap and nice. Beware the pine flavoured digestive drink they bring round afterwards for free, it's pretty ferocious!

Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: On the same street as Murphy's, Bar 33 and Koo Club, and easy to find due to the blue sign and big garden.
