A great way to hop around the waterfront to see it your own way is by the harbour bus looking like a canal boat and leaving from the same place in Nyhavn. Go to the DFDS ticket office and ask for a hop on/hop off ticket instead of a sightseeing one, and then chose between different colour coded tours to take you where you want to go (see page below).
