The tomb?s work began in 1562 and took 8 years to build. The architects Sayyed Muhammad ibn Mirak Ghiyathuddin and his father Mirak incorporated a Chahr Bagh Garden style which was the first of its type in the region. Other tombs are found in the complex such as the Barbers Tomb. The whole complex has been listed as a World Heritage site.
