"Visit the Blue Springs State..." Florida Things to Do Tip by margaretvn

Florida Things to Do: 565 reviews and 970 photos

Visit the Blue Springs State Park (a little north of Orlando) and see the Manatees.
It is one of the country's largest artesian springs. The spring pours out about 450 million litres of water a day. The water temperature is a constant 20 degrees Centigrade. This makes it a favourite place for the manatees. In the winter months they escape from the colder waters of the St. Johns River and head here. They can be easily seen from the boardwalks although the park can get very busy. There wer queues to go in when we left the park.

Address: Volusia county.
