Delhi Off The Beaten Path: 89 reviews and 181 photos

The Statue which is made up of brick and cement, stands at 175 feet high. The construction began in 1991 but it is still surrounded in scaffolding because of a design flaw that was discovered making it unsafe. And so even today, the bamboo casing still enshrouds Hanuman and is apparently only taken off when the termites occupy more than their fair share of the bamboo and the poles are replaced. There is a temple that lays at the base of the statue. While I didn’t go inside there are apparently a variety of deities displayed in the two storied temple.

Location : Pusa Road and Link Road, Karolbagh
