Favorite thing: Ghost gums are large eucalyptus trees found in Australia. It derives its name from its pale coloured bark. These gums were used by Aboriginal for firewood but also for the poisons in the leaves which was used for fishing. There are 113 species of this tree. They can grow up to 60 feet tall and 50 feet wide. Unfortunately as spectacular as they are they are notorious for killing people when their large branches come crushing down.. ah yes that is my husband I made pose under it. oops! If you are camping out in Australia never ever pitch your tent under a tree.
