Sir Gilbert Scott designed the Memorial to the late Prince Consort, and it stands in Kensington Gardens, opposite the Royal Albert Hall. Its abouts 175 feet high, and has tons of statues of famous authors, poets, scientists around the base. If you are in Kensington to visit a museum...do take a detour...as its a lovely memorial!
