The Hole In The Wall, London: 3 reviews and 6 photos
Finding ourselves hungry in Chiswick (West London) one Saturday lunchtime we decided to pop into a Gastro-Pub called the Hole in the Wall. I had been hearing good things about it and wanted to check it out for myself.
The Hole in the Wall is located in a quiet, leafy residential street, about 5 minutes walk from Chiswick High Street. The inside is split into three drinking/dining areas, and there is a decent size garden at the back with plenty of tables. When we arrived just before 1pm it was pretty quiet, but perhaps it was a little early in the day. Things picked up a little by the time we left, with plenty of people enjoying a meal in the sunny garden.
We grabbed a cold pint of beer whilst checking out the menu and having a chat. We were a little undecided whether to eat here or not, but decided it was easier than looking for somewhere else.
Favorite Dish: I ordered the Cajun Salmon on stir-fried noodles with Mango Crème Fraiche and Alex had the Rib eye Steak with Watercress sauce and fries. My Salmon was quite tasty, but Alex's steak wasn't great?.he managed to force down the fries though ; )
To sum up, we probably won't go back. The atmosphere was lacking and the food wasn't worth a return visit when there are so many other options close by.
