Wroclaw is called the city of bridges and churches, and it's no exaggeration! There's lots of bridges over the Oder river with the isles, the Olawa river and the many canals, which makes Wroclaw quite a picturesque place. Add the old architecture and the dozens of old churchs' belfries and steeples, and you get the overall picture. Lots of places to see, from the vast Market Sq. with the fine Town Hall... to the old Cathedral complex with the Romanesque St. Gile's church.
Wroclaw is also famous for its Botanical Garden (the most beautiful in Poland), its Zoo (the largest in Poland), and the unique Panorama Raclawicka, an enormous roundabout panorama painting (the only one in Poland, one of the few in Europe). I saw it during my last stay in the city and I was stunned! I still am when I realize the size of it: 120m x 15m (375ft x 47ft)...!
