Somerset House: "Summer night Gig" Top 5 Page for this destination London Nightlife Tip by Mariajoy

For Petra's birthday we went to the Elbow gig in Somerset House - part of the summer season line up of musical events held in the wonderful 18th century surroundings of the former Naval Offices (now the tax offices!). They were supported by Liam Frost and the Slowdown Family.
Check their website for further gig listings. Tickets are around £22.50.
One minor complaint - even if you are at the front of the queue, or have been queueing for hours, those without bags will be ushered to the front and will get in before you as you will of course, have to have a bag check. It makes one just a little miffed though.
Dress Code: Anything
Address: Somerset House
Directions: The Strand. If you are coming from Charing Cross, turn right - away from Trafalgar Square. Keep walking and it is on the right hand side, after St Clement Danes Church.
