"Fancy Calesa" Philippines Transportation Tip by i-s-a

Philippines Transportation: 188 reviews and 228 photos

Calesa is a horse-drawn buggy. It is the typical Filipino mode of transportation in the olden days. Now, it can still be seen in some parts of Manila (like Binondo, Divisoria and the Intramuros) and in most Ilocos towns.

It is fun to ride a calesa as it is an open carriage and the breeze adds a nice touch to your trip. It comes with a horseman (of course ^0^) and can accomodate up to 3 passengers.

Since this is part of novelty now, the fare is much higher than other modes of public tranpo.
