"The Carter Center" Carter Center Tip by littlesam1

Carter Center, Atlanta: 6 reviews and 9 photos

President Jimmy Carter is someone that I hold in deep admiration. Since leaving the office of the President he has chosen to dedicate his life to not only being a diplomat but also a proponent of human rights. In cooperation with Emery University he has established the Carter Center. The center is founded on a committment to human rights and to work to alleviate human suffering, resolve conflicts and to work towards enhancing freedom and democracy, and to improve world wide health. The Carter Center also houses the Jimmy Carter Presidential Libarary. The Center is open to the public. I visited the center when I traveled to Atlanta for my daughters graduation ceremony from Emory University. There is a wonderful museum at the center that traces the life of Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter. The gardens at the center are truely a beautiful oasis in the midst of the city of Atlanta. I highly recommend a visit to the Carter Center when visiting Atlanta.
