Built in 1892 the Claremont Riding Academy is the oldest operating stable in New York. Home to the many horses that walk the short distance to the Park it provides boarding facilities and courteous service for anyone who wants to keep their horse in New York for the purpose of riding in Central Park.
Equipment: Experienced riders only. Hourly rental ($50 an hour) and bring your own helmut.
Address: 89th and Columbus
Directions: On the northeast corner of West 89th Street between Columbus Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue.
