Hotel Du Lac ( Malcesine ): "Magic" Lago di Garda Hotel Tip by romalot

We arrived at the Hotel Du Lac in Malcesine by bus from Verona, it dropped us off at the tourist information, i think there may have been a stop a bit closer, we walked back along the road for about 10mins and came to the hotel which is on the lake-side, to get to the front door and reception, which is on the road side, you go past the swimming pool and the solarium and gym, the reception area didn't look much, only small but the lady was friendly and took us to our room, we hadn't seen the lake till now, when we walked in and she opened the curtains, it was such a loveley sight, the bedroom was a superior one, we had just walked around Rome and Florence over the last 10 days, so we wanted a bit of luxury for a nice relaxing stay, the room was big, the bed was comfy,with a canopy, there was a settee, chair coffee table and t.v and also behind what looked like a walk in wardrobe, was a small kitchenette, as these rooms could also be used for self-catering, we were on half-board. the patio doors led onto a terrace which had table and chairs and sunloungers, i would recomend this hotel to any-one, although probably not a lot for small children.
