Probably no other country in the world has such an abundance of history like Italy. There are so many ruins in the cities - some of which haven't been touched for decades and (unfortunately) haven't been restaurated. In Bologna, you will find some ruins of a large building close to the bus station and the Scala della Montagnola. The building consisted of red bricks and is a leftover from roman times. Further information about that one would be appreciated. I know, there is a plaque explaining age and function, but I can't remember what it was about.

Directions: When you leave the bus station, go to the Scala della Montagnola / Piazza 20 Settembre. Looking from the Parco della Montagnola, you will find it in the northwest.
