"Bryce Canyon" Bryce Canyon Tip by blueskyjohn

Bryce Canyon is different from many of the canyons located in southern Utah. Bryce is at a higher altitude (8000ft) than nearby Zion, so be prepared for cooler temperature if you are at the beginning of Spring. Also, many of the trails are closed early spring due to ice and muddy conditions on the trails. The rim hike from Sunset Point to Sunrise Point allows you to see much off the unique spires.

If you can venture down into the canyon, the Peek-a-boo trail is very good as well as the Wall Street area which can be very crowded.
