I first went to the Gotham Comedy club, around four years ago, when it was on a side street and much smaller. Every one of the four comedians we saw were hysterical.
The club has changed since then. It's now on 23rd street, much larger and modern with amphitheater look to it. Unfortunately, only two of the four comedians we saw this time around were really good.
It could've been an off-night but it was the Fourth of July weekend. I would've thought that they'd book better talent for such a big weekend. It could also be trade off for the "new and improved" look of the club. Who can tell???
