"Half day in Wieliczka" Krakow Off The Beaten Path Tip by Raimix
Krakow Off The Beaten Path: 270 reviews and 404 photos
Actually lot of people who come to Krakow at least make day or half-day trip to Wielicka. It is about 30 kilometres from Krakow and it can be easily reached by buses, microbuses, they go very frequently and cost only few zloty.
Wielicka is attractive about its salt mine, that is inscribed to UNESCO World heritage list. That salt left mostly not changed for about 800 years, and even still working. It was nice touristic paths inside (about 150 metres deep) with a lot of scultptures from salt, salt lakes, even big Kinga salt chapel.
I choised Polish language guide and was kind of great to listen and practise this language.
