"Lake with caves and rocks" Krakow Things to Do Tip by Raimix

Krakow Things to Do: 1,817 reviews and 3,236 photos

This lake looked really unexpected trip destination to me, but to be honest, it is worth a visit. Firstly, it is only some 15 minutes tram\bus ride from town centre, secondly, it looks really nice, hard to believe such place is in Krakow, as view of it looks like from South Europe. Lake "was created" by salt miners, they took salt from formerly dry place, but later accidently have found big water stream from deep of soil and it made big stream. Lake dont have any rivers from and to it, so the same water stays here.

Directions: Oposite side from Wistula river, where old town is. Tram 19 could be fine from centre, I think.
