Babalou: "Go South... London" London Nightlife Tip by Tripack
London Nightlife: 1,242 reviews and 1,310 photos
I have discovered the Babalou on a Saturday (Night Fever) for a House music session.
Situated in the heart of Brixton, Babalou set in a Crypt of a converted church. Funny as I went the previous day in a Pub Church, see my O'Neills tip above... So in that crypt architecture, you will find North African style lamps, sturdy wooden tables and sumptuous velvet booths. You could also have dinner to the restaurant before partying.
Babalou Bar has a capacity of 500 with a 5am licence - South Londons premier and newest club/restaurant and bar all in one.
Dress Code: Smart casual as usual...
Address: The Crypt, St Matthews Church, Brixton Hill SW2 1J
Directions: 2 minute walk from Brixton Tube station.
St. Matthews Church is in the Peace Garden.
