The building works to the Church and the Convent of Saint Catherine were started in 1346 on the place where the former Palazzo dei Da Camino once stood.

Following the last restructuring works, Santa Caterina complex was transformed into the headquarters of the Civical Museums of Treviso.

In the museum is displayed the most valuable Italian works of art of the XIV century, the fresco of Sant'Orsola of Tomaso da Modena, brought here from the Church of Saint Margaret.

The frescos are covering a surface of 120 sqm and have been saved by Luigi Bailo in 1883.
