In this museum there are 200 paintings and 500 sketches and drawings by the master. The museum has the largest and most varied collection of his works in the world. Many of the paintings are chronologically displayed staring with his subdued work done in the province of Brabant in The Netherlands through to the canvas’s from the end of his life in France. The permanent collection also includes works by Van Gogh’s contemporaries such as Gauguin and Monet and Toulouse-Lautrec.
