Enkhuizen is a small town and therefore can best be experienced on foot. On the attached map (picture 2) you can see that the old city centre (and most interesting part) of Enkhuizen is quite compact and has still the shape the old fortified walls gave it in medieval times. Walking around Enkhuizen can be done within an afternoon or morning in which the other half of the day should be spend in the Zuiderzee museum.
