Favorite thing: From my Streaky Bay pages:
Our next stop was Murphy's Haystacks, the reddish outcrop of granite inselbergs listed as being up to 1,500 million years old and featured in many an item of promotional literature for this part of the world. Though they're on private property they are open to the public and a proper parking area, toilets and an informative walkway make for an interesting break, especially if you are into photography. Then all sorts of possibilities open up. The striking shapes of nature's artwork are well displayed here, I just find it hard to grasp how long something like this actually takes to sculpt. 48 shots and over half an hour later we were on our way again, taking care to put some money in the box for the continued maintenance of the site.
Fondest memory: This is situated between Streaky Bay and Elliston on the Eyre Peninsula
