"Afternoon in the park." Bancroft Gardens Tip by halfbeat

Bancroft Gardens, Stratford-upon-Avon: 8 reviews and 10 photos

I was in Stratford last weekend, the sun was shining and it was a great day so we decided to go to the park. There was a street performer on in the park, in fact there were several during the course of the afternoon.... they were all really good aswell. The acts were all different, my favourite was a man juggling fire, telling a few jokes, riding a unicycle etc.. he was really good. You dont get many street performers around nowadays, so it is nice to see them still performing here.
The park itself is a really nice spot down by the river, next to the Royal Shakespeare theater. You can buy drinks and ice creams off a couple of boats moored up on the river or there are shops just the other side of the road for other food and drink. You can even feed the ducks and swans on the river if you have any of your sandwiches left over.

If your in Stratford on a nice day and have an hour or so spare, take a walk down to the park and relax there for a while, it's a really nice place to chill out and have a laugh with the performers.
