Just across the street and part of the Congress Hall Hotel family is the beautifully refurbished "Star Inn." This inn peeked my interest because it is a combination of a large main building, Carriage House suites and a few motel suites as well. Sounds like an odd combination, but each section has its own distinct amenities and decor.

The Carriage House suites are great for families or two couples because they are really apartments, each suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and a full length balcony.

The 9 rooms in the Inn's main building nice furnished rooms with en suite bathrooms, some with ocean views and breakfast is included. Rooms are double occupancy only and only children over 14 in this part of the inn.

Motel suites are decorated in American Classic, a somewhat retro style, and first floor rooms have private backyards while second floor rooms have terraces.

Unique Qualities: Don't miss the coffee shop on the first floor of the inn! Try a gourmet coffee and pastry before heading to the beach!

Guests of the Star Inn have rights to all facilities at Congress Hall, directly across the street. This includes the pool and beach cabana.

The Star Inn has tons of special packages throughout the year and include at least one or more meals either at the Blue Pig Tavern or another restaurant in Cape May. I think the New Year's Eve package called the "Glitter Ball Getaway" sounded particulary appealing-- 2 or 3 nights, 2 tickets to Congress Hall's "Glitter Ball" champagne and a four-course dinner, plus breakfast each morning of your stay.
