"Vlaggetjesdag" Scheveningen Things to Do Tip by pieter_jan_v

Each year at the end of May/Beginning of June Vlaggetjesdag will be held.
It's the traditional day the herring fleet goes out for the new season and returns with the first "Hollandse Nieuwe" (the new herring).

Many festivities are organised arounfd the harbour and the ships are decorated.
