"I really enjoyed the flight..." Peru Things to Do Tip by DJC

I really enjoyed the flight over the Nazca Lines. The best way to see them is from the air. We took the flight at 4pm so the angle of the sun made the Lines easier to spot. I've been told at midday, when the sun is directly overhead, they can be difficult to see.

The planes often don't fly in the afternoon because it's windy and the thermals are strong, however at this time not only do you get a good view of the Lines the little plane jumps all over and is like a severe roller-coaster ride. That's a good thing by the way.

Prices for the flight and a tour to the aqueduct or cemetary seem to be around USD 35 but I've been told the flight can be had for less if you go straight to the airport and ask the companies there.
