Johnson Ridge is the end of the line for the Mount Saint Helens tour, especially now since the trails are closed and climbing Mt St Helens is not permitted. I spent most of my time at the visitor's center, because it was freezing and raining and the center offered a welcome haven from that. Although my primary purpose for entering was to seek shelter, I was impressed with the displays in the center and the wealth of information provided by the park rangers.

On a clear day, you can see into the crater from the observatory. I took the short and semi steep path to the top of the observatory and saw a bunch of clouds. Amazingly though, there is a mountain out there.
