CASINA DI RAFFFAELLO - playroom for your Prince and Princess - in Villa Borghese - home to simply the most elegant children's area I have ever seen - would pique the creativity of any child. When I walked in this room, as I retrieved my chin from the floor, I thought: "ah, hah - this was the playroom of Italian children of wealth in a previous era."
Photos 2, 3 and 4 The first playroom just inside the entrance incorporates an elaborate cut wood climbing activity overlooking small circular tables with stools (photo 4) where children color and draw - all encased in floor to ceiling glass.
Photo 1 - Just down a small hallway is another room decorated with refined furnishings, including a small goldleaf gilded piano - every item in pristine condition. The chests you see conceal regal costumes replete with crowns and robes worthy of any prince or princess - attendants will help dress your children for a memory that is sure to stay with them throughout their lives. The shop provides an exceptional selection of books and games - parents accompany children in the play areas - photos are not permitted except parents photographing their own children.
3 Euro per child
I have a press tour coming and will post more detail about this extraordinary facility.
